Welcome to 9th Grade English
Essential Questions: Why study Literature? How do we communicate effectively? What does it mean to come of age?
Ninth grade students will attempt to answer these questions by studying writing of various genres that deals with the theme of "coming of age". We will begin to explore what "coming of age" means, and will hopefully learn more about ourselves as learners while doing so.
Unit One: Intro to Coming of Age
Assessment: Argumentative Essay - Create an argument about the value of college.
Assignment One: Post Secondary Interviews
